ACH has completed the acquisition of Pharos Investment Banking in 2020. As one of the most active investment banks in the country, the division has made a name for itself in Egypt’s investment banking space for its on-the-ground expertise, deep knowledge of the local market and its unique capabilities in bridging the gap between international and regional investors with local opportunities. As a prominent investment banking to offering clients a comprehensive suite of financial services. With over 15 years of specialized experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital market, and debt capital market transactions, its highly-sought-after advisory services have allowed the division to close over 40 transactions valued at EGP 78 billion including several landmark deals in the chemicals and fertilizers, finance, education, and telecommunications space.
Under its new identity, Al Ahly Pharos Investment Banking , the division will form part of ACH’s capital markets pillars, leveraging its successful track record as well as NBE's and ACH's network and solid brand. ACH has completed the acquisition of Al Ahly Financial Investment Management (AFIM) in 2021, rolling it into its investment banking platform as a full-fledged asset management arm. ACH’s venture into asset management will see the company focus on three primary segments: fixed income and money markets; equities; and saving instruments.
Through these segments, ACH will cater to the needs of investors with varying risk appetites and financial profiles. With a successful track record spanning more than two decades of operations and total assets under management amounting to EGP 34 billion, AFIM is a market leader in the provision of asset and portfolio management services in the Egyptian markets, providing attractive, consistent risk-adjusted returns for investors.
