Mohamed El Etreby is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and serves as the Chairman of several influential boards, including the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and the Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB). With an illustrious career spanning over 45 years, Mr. El Etreby is a highly accomplished banker renowned for his leadership in driving sustainable growth, spearheading digital transformation, and modernizing business infrastructures across financial institutions.
Prior to assuming his role at the National Bank of Egypt in 2024, Mr. El Etreby served as Chairman of Banque Misr, where he orchestrated a significant expansion, growing the bank’s client base to over 13 million across 12 countries. Under his guidance, the bank underwent a comprehensive modernization of its operations and service infrastructure, aligning its strategic objectives with a forward-looking growth and transformation agenda.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. El Etreby has held senior and board-level positions at several prominent organizations for over 22 years, including the Egyptian Arab Land Bank, the Arab Investment Bank, the Arab African International Bank (AAIB), and Misr International Bank (now known as Qatar National Bank Alahli, QNB). His visionary leadership, strategic acumen, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in the development and success of these institutions.

Karim Saada has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment, specifically in private equity, financial management, corporate lending, and remedial asset management. Saada worked as Executive Partner & Country Head-Egypt of Amwal Al Khaleej Commercial Investment Company for 14 years.
Prior to joining Amwal, Mr. Saada was with Gulf Arab Investment Company based in Egypt, where he held the position first of Chief Investment Officer then General Manager. He has 10 years of banking experience in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, largely in corporate banking, corporate finance, and restructure/recovery of remedial accounts, having worked with EAB and United Saudi Bank.
Mr. Saada is a CFA Charter holder and member of the CFA Institute. He has a diploma in investment and appraisals management from Harvard University. He holds an MSc in Finance Strathclyde University-UK, and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.

He demonstrated leadership skills and turnaround achievements with a proven track record of strong execution management, successful product development, new venture start-ups as well as divestitures. Mona Ashour brings over 30 years of progressive corporate banking experience, culminating in her role as Head of Corporate Coverage at Crédit Agricole Egypt until September 2023. As a member of Crédit Agricole Egypt’s General Management Committee, Senior Management Committee, and Trustee Board of the Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development (2016-2021), Mona played a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s strategic direction.
Throughout her tenure, Mona led and participated in numerous landmark deals, both locally and offshore, including bilateral and syndicated transactions. She was also a key contributor to several core banking projects, driving initiatives to enhance workflow processes, corporate digital banking, and cross-selling strategies. Chérine Khallaf is an expert in public policies with more than 30 years of experience in economic, industrial and trade policies in Egypt. With an extended work experience in governmental, inter-governmental and private sector settings, Chérine has spearheaded numerous projects that promoted private sector development and investment across several industries.
Chérine is currently working as the Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at LYNX Strategic Business Advisors. Prior to that, she held the positions of Director of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism Department at the Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Advisor to the Minister of Trade and Industry on International Cooperation and Development, Technical Consultant with multilateral agencies such as UNIDO, UNESCO and the African Union Commission, in addition to her experience in the banking sector early in her career.

Prior to that, she worked at a Saudi-Egyptian private equity fund whose investment mandate focused on manufacturing companies operating in Egypt, where she was involved in multiple transactions at various stages. Ms. Bolbol also served in both the Research department and Asset Management department during her four-year stint at Sigma Capital. Her coverage included sectors such as the steel, cement, electricity, fertilizers, consumer, healthcare, and F&B sectors. She also undertook a six-month industrial placement post at GC Group Capital, a wall street based private wealth management company in New York.

Omar Demerdash is a Senior Investment Associate at ACH. Demerdash joined ACH early 2020, and has executed several acquisitions, divestments, green field projects in addition to debt raising and restructuring assignments in different sectors including- but not limited to- agriculture, petrochemicals, manufacturing, NBFS and fintech. Mr. Demerdash represents ACH and its subsidiaries as a board member and observer on several portfolio companies.
Prior to joining ACH, Mr. Demerdash worked as a banker in Egypt and the GCC region for 8 years, having worked with Ahli United Bank Group, Al Baraka Banking Group, and National Bank of Fujairah, handling corporate banking, structured finance and syndication roles for governments and large corporates, as well as serving both conventional and Islamic banking and finance fields.

Yasmine Abouhussein, Investment Vice President joined ACH in July 2016, and since then has successfully executed several flagship acquisitions, award winning green field projects and debt raising deals in different sectors including agribusiness, healthcare, petrochemicals, and the non-banking financial sector. Ms. Abouhussein represents ACH and its subsidiaries on the board of directors of several portfolio companies assuming an active role in leading companies through aggressive growth stages.
Prior to ACH, Ms. Abouhussein worked as a specialist in the treasury department of Cargill Egypt; in addition, she spent two years in the banking sector as a Fixed Income Trader at the money market desk of the Arab Bank dealing room.
She has obtained the ACI Dealing Certificate and has completed the Analyst Training Program at CI-Capital. In addition, Ms. Abouhussein is credit certified from the Egyptian Banking Institute.

Wael Mohamed has 23 years of experience in information technology, specifically in networking infrastructure design and implementation, administration, and security. Mr. Mohamed joined Al Ahly Capital Holding in September 2009 as IT Manager working and responsible for the IT Department. Prior to joining Al Ahly Capital, he worked with Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH Holding), the investment arm of the Kuwait Investment Authority in Egypt where he was responsible for the IT Infrastructure of a number of its subsidiary companies, special company projects the EKH Holding head office, TriOcean Energy, Sprea Misr, Plastichem, and Building Material Industry Company (BMIC). He began his professional career at Pertosoft-Egypt as a Technical Support & Network designer.

Amr Kambal is the Group Head of Internal Audit at Al-Ahly Capital Holding (ACH). Amr has more than 25 years of professional experience. These solid years of professional experience splits between external and internal audit. Amr commenced his professional career at KPMG – Hazem Hasan in 2002, He has been promoted until he became the Senior Manager In-Charge of the Internal Audit Department. Based on Amr’s outstanding performance, he was nominated to join an international secondment with KPMG United Kingdom for three years. In 2016, Amr became the In-charge of internal audit at AMLAK Mortgage Finance Egypt, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMLAK UAE. Mr. Enayet was fully responsible of implementing a huge number of very successful enterprise and integration projects that served main products related to Banking & Financial services for major clients including MNOs, Governmental entities, FMCG, Insurance and Brokerage institutions.

Ahmed Farouk is Al Ahly Momkn Chief Sales & Operators Affair Officer. Mr. Farouk comes to the company with extensive retail and KA experience with reputable companies in Egypt and GCC area, his leadership attitude and efforts contributed in making VIVO a market leader in Bahrain.
Mr. Farouk established Momkn platform & led Momkn to be one of top aggregators in Egypt.
Mr. Farouk graduated from the Faculty of Commerce in Ain Shams University and holds Project Management Diploma.

Khaled Shelbaya currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Al Ahly Momkn for E-Payment where he is responsible for, business planning, tax administration, financial management and performance management, the extent of achieving the objectives of the company and its future plan, Mr. Shelbaya has 17 years of experience in financial management where 9 in fintech played vital role in Fawry IPO 2018, setting treasury strategy and management, financial control, planning.
Mr. Shelbaya holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Helwan University in 2004, and CMA from the institute of management accounts New Jersey, United States in Aug 2011.
