Hisham Okasha joined NBE in 2008 as Deputy Chairman and was appointed as Chairman of NBE in 2013. During his time at NBE, Mr. Okasha oversaw the successful reform and restructure of the bank and was instrumental in increasing NBE’s market share to 30% and its progress to become the country’s largest SME lender.
Prior to his role at NBE, Mr. Okasha headed off-site supervision at the Central Bank of Egypt after 15 years in the private commercial banking sector. Mr. Okasha is a Board Member at the Egyptian Banking Federation and a number of other financial subsidiaries of the Bank in Europe and Africa.
Mr. Okasha has an Economics and Computer Science degree and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the American University in Cairo. He also has a diploma from the Harvard Institute for International Development.

Karim Saada has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment, specifically in private equity, financial management, corporate lending, and remedial asset management. Saada worked as Executive Partner & Country Head-Egypt of Amwal Al Khaleej Commercial Investment Company for 14 years.
Prior to joining Amwal, Mr. Saada was with Gulf Arab Investment Company based in Egypt, where he held the position first of Chief Investment Officer then General Manager. He has 10 years of banking experience in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, largely in corporate banking, corporate finance, and restructure/recovery of remedial accounts, having worked with EAB and United Saudi Bank.
Mr. Saada is a CFA Charter holder and member of the CFA Institute. He has a diploma in investment and appraisals management from Harvard University. He holds an MSc in Finance Strathclyde University-UK, and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.

Ahmed Seddik is an executive with 35+ years of broad & progressive experience in General Management and CFO positions in high profile multi-nationals including Farm Frites, Mars Inc., PepsiCo., P&G and Qalaa Holdings. The operational management experience is complemented with 15+ years of experience in Board Memberships, and Entrepreneurial ventures such as: National Bank of Egypt, Al Ahly Capital, Carina, Stars Sports, JPadel Sports Co, Alamar Foods, Nile Shoes Co. “ Coochi”, Mountain View and AUC Business School Advisory Board. He demonstrated leadership skills and turnaround achievements with a proven track record of strong execution management, successful product development, new venture start-ups as well as divestitures. He consistently maintained a diligent eye on growth in productivity, bottom-line profitability and talent development.

Wael Abu Ali is NBE's Chief Financial Officer and has held several positions at the bank since joining in 2008. He has 23 years of experience in the fields of auditing, financial consultancy and banking. He started his career with Arthur Andersen Egypt in 1993 for three years and later joined E&Y and PwC offices as Senior Manager in the UAE and Egypt covering assignments across the Middle East and GCC. He joined Barclays Bank as Financial Controller in 2005 before moving to Ahli United Bank where he served as CFO.

Ramy el Sharaawy is the General Manager of African Cooperation Sector at CBE with over than 15 years of experience at the CBE, Mr. Sharaawy has assumed several roles from managing the Risk of Foreign Reserves, managing External Portfolio Managers, to Banking Sector Reform and finally establishing the first Egyptian Export Credit Agency and co-heading the African Cooperation Sector.
Prior to that Mr. Sharaawy has accumulated over 10 years of experience through a number of banking roles; Credit Risk Officer for the local subsidiary of Société Générale Bank, Private Banker for Deutsche Bank and an Equity Analyst during the privatization program. Mr. Sharaawy has also had the chance to work for PWC Advisory Business in Sydney, Australia where he was in charge of evaluating the option pricing model of Sydney Stock Exchange among other projects.

Ahmed el Sersi is the Head of Debt and Structured Finance at NBE, he joined the bank in 2010, where he worked across various sectors and managed his team to close numerous landmark transactions. He has more than 24 years of working experience in syndicated loans, corporate credit, and non-performing loans. Prior to his role at NBE, Mr. El Sersi worked at Bank Audi, heading five sectors and succeeded to close the bank’s first syndication transaction.

Prior to that, she worked at a Saudi-Egyptian private equity fund whose investment mandate focused on manufacturing companies operating in Egypt, where she was involved in multiple transactions at various stages. Ms. Bolbol also served in both the Research department and Asset Management department during her four-year stint at Sigma Capital. Her coverage included sectors such as the steel, cement, electricity, fertilizers, consumer, healthcare, and F&B sectors. She also undertook a six-month industrial placement post at GC Group Capital, a wall street based private wealth management company in New York.

Omar Demerdash is a Senior Investment Associate at ACH. Demerdash joined ACH early 2020, and has executed several acquisitions, divestments, green field projects in addition to debt raising and restructuring assignments in different sectors including- but not limited to- agriculture, petrochemicals, manufacturing, NBFS and fintech. Mr. Demerdash represents ACH and its subsidiaries as a board member and observer on several portfolio companies.
Prior to joining ACH, Mr. Demerdash worked as a banker in Egypt and the GCC region for 8 years, having worked with Ahli United Bank Group, Al Baraka Banking Group, and National Bank of Fujairah, handling corporate banking, structured finance and syndication roles for governments and large corporates, as well as serving both conventional and Islamic banking and finance fields.

Yasmine Abouhussein, Investment Vice President joined ACH in July 2016, and since then has successfully executed several flagship acquisitions, award winning green field projects and debt raising deals in different sectors including agribusiness, healthcare, petrochemicals, and the non-banking financial sector. Ms. Abouhussein represents ACH and its subsidiaries on the board of directors of several portfolio companies assuming an active role in leading companies through aggressive growth stages.
Prior to ACH, Ms. Abouhussein worked as a specialist in the treasury department of Cargill Egypt; in addition, she spent two years in the banking sector as a Fixed Income Trader at the money market desk of the Arab Bank dealing room.
She has obtained the ACI Dealing Certificate and has completed the Analyst Training Program at CI-Capital. In addition, Ms. Abouhussein is credit certified from the Egyptian Banking Institute.

Magdy Moussa is the managing director of Al Ahly Tamkeen for Microfinance, prior to this post he had more than 30 years of international experience as a Finance and Management advisor, 20 of which are in the domain of Micro and Small and Enterprise Development; building the institutional capacity of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Egypt, the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, and other regions (China, France, Azerbaijan). Mr. Saada is a CFA Charter holder and member of the CFA Institute. He has a diploma in investment and appraisals management from Harvard University. He holds an MSc in Finance Strathclyde University-UK, and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
Prior to joining Amwal, Mr. Saada was with Gulf Arab Investment Company based in Egypt, where he held the position first of Chief Investment Officer then General Manager. Ahmed Al Said is NBE's Chief Executive Officer for Investments , overlooking the bank's portfolio of 148 companies and real assets exceeding USD 2.5 billion in value. Prior to joining NBE, the largest commercial bank in Egypt, Mr. El Said spent more than 24 years in Investment and Commercial Banks, established his own PE fund and Finance Leasing Company and later exited achieving outstanding returns.

Karim Soos is NBE’s Retail CEO, he has over 37 years of experience in Retail Banking, with special focus on Retail Risk Management. Mr. Soos started at NBE as a Retail Credit Risk Group Head.
Prior to joining NBE, Mr. Soos worked in American Express TRS for 9 years and worked at Citibank and Egyptian American Bank/ Credit Agricole Egypt for 8 years.
Mr. Soos serves as a Board Member in number of companies including Transportation Fund to replace old taxis (Government Project), the Executive Committee in National Bank of Egypt, Deputy Chairman in the Egyptian Mortgage Finance Federation, Fawry Dahab Company For Electronic Services, Al Ahly Company for Electronic Payments, the Egyptian Credit Bureau (I-Score), Master Card MENA Executive Council and he acts as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ahly Real Estate Finance Company.

Magdy Moussa is the managing director of Al Ahly Tamkeen for Microfinance, prior to this post he had more than 30 years of international experience as a Finance and Management advisor, 20 of which are in the domain of Micro and Small and Enterprise Development; building the institutional capacity of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Egypt, the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, and other regions (China, France, Azerbaijan). Mr. Moussa started his career as a financial analyst at USAID and moved to private sector consulting, then to INGO PlaNet Finance as the Middle East Regional Manager, then to MSMEDA (formerly SFD) as the manager for Microfinance central sector, the Director of Alexandria Business Association
At a Macro level, Mr. Moussa participated as a technical lead advisor in developing a national strategy for Microfinance in Egypt, led the technical team in developing the national strategy for microfinance in Syria, and participated as a technical team member in developing the national MF strategy in Sudan. Mr. Moussa has contributed with efforts and authored MFI’s and projects’ evaluation, as well as research papers: non-prudential regulations and performance standards (Egypt Strategy for Microfinance), assessment of Egyptian bank and non-bank MFIs, Supervision and Regulation of microfinance in Egypt (CGAP / Maryland University), Collaterals substitutes in Islamic Lending (Central Bank of Sudan / World Bank). In his advisory capacity, Moussa has provided technical assistance to international bodies in developing the MF sector such as USAID, IFAD, IFC, Sanabel Network, CGAP Regulatory Resource Center, Giz, Afd, the African Development Bank and the World Bank

Mr. Ahmed joined one of the biggest microfinance institutions in Egypt (Tanmeyah). Mr. Hamdy spent more than 10 years at Tanmeyah micro enterprise services. During his working years at Tanmeyah, he held the position of Product General Manager where he led the expansion process for Tanmeyah and succeeded to maximize its portfolio exceeding 2 Billon EGB with more than 270 branches all over Egypt
